California Transparency In Supply Chain Act

The California Transparency In Supply Chains Act of 2010 requires disclosures concerning the efforts by Manitou Americas to prevent human trafficking and slavery activities within its supply chain. Manitou Americas selects it suppliers with the expectation that they are in compliance with all applicable laws and respect the inalienable rights of all people. At present, Manitou Americas does not (1) affirmatively verify its product supply chain to evaluate and address the risks of human trafficking and slavery; (2) have a formal process to independently audit nor verify that each of the vendors in its supply chain does not engage in human trafficking or slavery; (3) currently require any of its vendors to certify that products comply with any laws concerning slavery and human trafficking; (4) currently mandate specific guidelines or procedures for employees or contractors failing to meet standards concerning human trafficking and slavery; and (5) currently offer training for employees and management who have direct responsibility for supply chain management on human trafficking and slavery, although employees and management do receive training concerning our code of conduct and are expected to respect the basic human rights of all people.
